These terms govern your use of TreeQuotes. By using this site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to them.

1. What we are

TreeQuotes is a free information and lead-referral service. We publish general guidance about tree-removal rules and connect you with independent, licensed arborists. We are not arborists, we do not perform tree work, and we do not employ the arborists we refer. Any work is provided by an independent business you choose and contract with directly.

2. Information is general only

The rules, thresholds, exemptions and checker results on this site are general information compiled in good faith from public sources — they are not legal, planning or arboricultural advice and may be incomplete or out of date. Rules are set by your local council and change case by case. Always confirm with your council and a qualified arborist before removing or pruning any tree. See our Disclaimer.

3. Your enquiry and consent

You confirm the details you submit are accurate and that you consent to your enquiry being shared with matched arborists who may contact you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. No warranty about arborists

We do not guarantee the availability, licensing, insurance, pricing, quality, conduct or outcomes of any arborist we refer. Any vetting we describe is limited and does not amount to an endorsement or recommendation. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that an arborist is appropriately licensed and insured before engaging them.

5. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or cost arising from (a) reliance on information on this site, or (b) the acts, omissions, advice or work of any arborist or third party. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the relevant service or the cost of doing so. [Liability wording to be confirmed by a lawyer before launch.]

6. Intellectual property

The content, branding and layout of this site are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
